Realistically, how long will it take to "commute" from The Beach Club resort hotel to Magic Kingdom by Disney bus during school vacation week (worst case). We are debating between Beach Club and Polynesian (on the monorail) to stay for our trip.

    Kathleen,

With bus service, always plan in an initial 20 minute wait for your bus at your resort. It is not always that long, but it can be, and you want to prepare accordingly. After taking that into account, the time from the Beach Club to the Magic Kingdom is about 17 minutes.

What is a real pain, however, is the return trip. Often the bus will hit most of the other Epcot area resorts, like the Swan, Dolphin, BoardWalk, and Yacht, before getting back to the Beach Club. This is pretty exhausting, especially when you are spending Deluxe accommodation dollars for the stay. It can also mean an added 20-30 minutes to the trip, and very crowded conditions.

If you are traveling with younger kids, and know that the Magic Kingdom is going to be your most frequented park, I would say that the Polynesian would be a much better choice. But with a mixed age group, and a more balanced attack of the four parks, the Beach Club would still be better. That is largely because you are walking/boating to two of the four parks.

Write me back if you need further clarification!

    Have a magical vacation!
