I was just reading the run Disney website and it says that only host resorts have transportation. We are only running the 5K, but we are using DVC points and the only thing left was Saratoga...do you have any idea what hotels are Host hotels? Thanks!

    Hi Shauna!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney Vacation Club Villas are the ideal place to stay for a runDisney event. Having the kitchenette or full kitchen is super important to me before a race, because being able to have my usual pre-race fuel is essential. In a 1 Bedroom Villa or larger, I love a soak in the whirlpool tub after a race!

The Host Resorts for runDisney events can vary, depending on the event. If you will be visiting during either Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in January, or Princess Half Marathon Weekend in February, you can rest assured that due to the size of these events, all Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are Host Resorts. If you will be visiting during Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend in November, only specific resorts are Host Resorts. You’ll be happy to know that Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is one of the Host Resorts for this event. You can find more specific information, including a list of Host Resorts on the runDisney website. Choose the Plan tab, then Travel, then select the appropriate event you will be participating in.

I hope this helps with your planning, Shauna. Train hard, and “Run like the wind, Bullseye!”

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
