I was just reading a review on POFQ where we will be staying mid Sept. They were saying to be prepared for the bus to take forever to take you to the parks, that sometimes they stop at 1 or 2 other parks before dropping you off at yours? Is this true?

Hi Amber,

While I have never stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter, I have stayed at its sister resort, Port Orleans Riverside. Often these two resorts are on the same bus, but there are times when they have their own transportation to and from the parks. From the Riverside resort, I generally do not wait long for a bus and I find I am in a park in between 15-20 minutes. Disney sends a bus every 20 minutes to and from the resorts and with even greater frequency at park openings and closing.

All of the Walt Disney World Resorts share a bus when traveling to Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney and the two water parks. This is the only time you will go to one park prior to heading to another. The route is Animal Kingdom/Blizzard Beach and the other is Downtown Disney/Typhoon Lagoon.
