Hi Rodney!
I am hungry thinking about all of the amazing food at
Walt Disney World. There are so many yummy options at the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. At
Quick Service restaurants, adults are welcome to order off of the children's menu if they prefer. Oftentimes, I will order off of the children's menu at Quick Service locations, like
Backlot Express, because I love the small portion of macaroni and cheese. I also love the grilled salmon available on the kids menu at
Columbia Harbour House. You can definitely purchase drinks, desserts, and some sides at the Quick Service locations. Typically, the children's meals come with sides and a drink. For example, the grilled salmon children's meal comes with a choice of sides (French fries, green beans, etc..) and a drink. While you can't ask for the salmon without the sides, you can certainly order extra sides.
At
Table Service Restaurants, the availability to order off of the children's menu varies. The kids' menu is designed for children ages 3 to 9, which is typically enforced at Table Service Restaurants. However, you can ask your server when you arrive if you can order off of the children's menu. You can also ask about the a la carte items, such as drinks, sides, appetizers, and desserts. This will vary depending upon the restaurant.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
