Hello Moms! I was reading the panel and discovered the Desert party in Mag. K. I'm bring my 4yr old to D.W. Jan. 8-14 2010 and was wondering if there is any chance that this event will be extended? If not what are some more great places to see fireworks?

    Hi Laura,

At the moment the Wishes dessert party in the Magic Kingdom is scheduled to finish at the end of December. Since the party started though the dates have been extended several times so you may be lucky for your trip. What I suggest you do is sign up for some unofficial Disney newsletters from sites such as www.allears.net or www.mousesavers.com for the latest news!

Wishes is my very favourite firework show in WDW and I have viewed it from lots of different places. A great view can be had from anywhere on Main Street, especially near to the hub, but this often gets very crowded so I like to watch from the bridge to Tomorrowland. You can often find a spot here about 10 minutes before the show, it's particularly good if you have young children as you can get a viewing spot up by the railings so they have an unobstructed view. Another bonus of that spot is that you get to see Tinker Bell fly over your head!

    Have a fantastic trip,

    Jo
