i have been reading ?'s since we will be there in 1 month. What is the rope drop at all parks in the morning. read this on another ? and it was one of the answers. Thanks

    Robert,

Rope drop is a 'show' that happens at each park at opening. Technically they don't happen every day at every park, but I can't recall ever not having at least a little show. Also, the rope drop show at each park is different.

The rope drop at the Magic Kingdom happens at the foot of the Railroad Station. As the train rolls up to the station, the dancers, singers, and characters make the park opening a "WOW" moment with a vibrant energy that really gets you going. At the other parks you actually go into the park for the shows, which are themed to the stories of each park.

Often there is a real family that plays a role in the opening. There is no way to get selected for this, but showing up early can't hurt. I recommend arriving a good 15-20 minutes before park opening.

These are not only a great way to start your day in a park, but they mean that you are already ahead of the larger crowds that will arrive over the next several hours, so you are sure to get more done since you will be ahead of that surge of people. They only take a few minutes, and are a highlight of our family's trips!

    Have a magical vacation!
