After reading different sites, I'm really concerned about our up and coming vacation. What are your overall feelings about the POR? We'll be at Disney for Thanksgiving and we have a party of 5.

    Stephanie,

I presume by POR you mean Port Orleans Riverside? Assuming yes, I am a big fan. It is the first Moderate resort that I recommend in almost every situation.

Occasionally I will send an adult-only group to Coronado Springs, but only those with a specific set of nightlife, resort, and spa recreation interests. There are also a few cases where a family with a child hoping to get into a Pirate room at the Caribbean Beach resort gets that as a primary recommendation as well.

But in the overall majority of times, I go with Port Orleans Riverside. It has great theming, better overall amenities in most cases, and of course the boat access to Downtown Disney (which Port Orleans French Quarter shares).

Personally, I would have no trepidation about going there. Now Thanksgiving will be a busy time. It always is. But as long as you get your dining reservations set, plan your days, and remember that it is a vacation and not a job, you should be ready for a great vacation!

Now write me back with any follow-up questions. I am interested in helping you get ready, and relaxed, for your great vacation!

    Have a magical vacation!
