I was reading comments from fellow park lovers that the DDP does not cover the entire menu at restaurants that accept the DDP. Is this true? We have always used the DDP in the past and had no problems. Has that changed?

Hi, Rachel!  There are very few exceptions to the all inclusive nature of the Disney Dining Plan when it comes to restaurant menus.  For the most part, you can absolutely order anything on the menu.

One of the only times you wouldn't be able to use only your Disney Dining Plan credits for a meal is if there is a prix fixe (fixed price) meal option.  Because the prix fixe meals usually include more courses than some of the dining plans provide, there is often an upcharge to cover the cost of the extra course included with these meals.

You might also encounter something that is meant to serve more than one person.  In those cases, one guest wouldn't be permitted to order that, but some restaurants might permit guests to share it, as long as each guest is using a dining credit.

I hope that clears up any confusion!
