Hello, Christine, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
One of the best things about
Walt Disney World Resort is the care its culinary team puts into making sure Guests with special diets and/or food allergies are accommodated as much as possible. While there isn’t a master list of restaurants that offer special allergy-friendly menus, in my experience every table-service restaurant has been able to honor our special requests (especially with advance notice), and most quick-service restaurants have been able to accommodate us, too.
Some of the
Walt Disney World Resort restaurants do publish their allergy-friendly menus online and/or in the
My Disney Experience mobile app (especially those restaurants that offer
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering). I would recommend taking a look at the published menu for the restaurants you and your family are interested in to see if there are any items listed as “Peanut/ Tree Nut Allergy Friendly.” (If listed, they will be at the bottom of the menu.) If you don’t see anything listed, I would recommend reaching out to the
Special Diets team to see if they can let you know if either a dish on the menu can be modified or if the chef could make something off-menu.
In my experience, Walt Disney World Resort chefs and servers take food allergies very seriously and will do everything they can to make sure your food is both delicious and safe. Please be aware, though, that there are not separate allergy-friendly kitchens and they are therefore unable to guarantee that a menu item is completely free of allergens. You can always ask to see the label or the information in the “Allergy Binder” (a three-ring notebook at each restaurant with ingredient information) before making a decision, too. As the statement on each allergy-friendly menu says, though, “it is ultimately our Guests’ discretion to make an informed choice based upon their individual dietary needs.”
I wish you the best of luck, Christine! Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you.
