I am reading the advice correctly? It sounds as if the 'extra hours' actually make that park more crowded. I thought the extra hours would allow for faster line times and less crowds. (We will be there Easter week 2009).

Extra Magic Hours (EMH) work well for some families and less well for others.  Some of the "Moms" on this panel love to take advantage of EMH, and others try to avoid them.

As a general rule I avoid the "EMH" parks, because they tend to be relatively crowded for much of the day (especially the middle of the day).  However, if you arrive at a morning-EMH park and really take advantage of the first few hours you will experience "faster line times and less crowds" in that park.

I've never taken advantage of the evening EMH because my kids go to sleep earlier.  I have heard that the evening EMH at the Animal Kingdom can be quite nice, though.

Please be aware that this year (2008) during the week before and after Easter the Magic Kingdom had morning EMH every single day, so it was impossible to avoid EMH there.  In this case, I would be at the Magic Kingdom when it opened for EMH to take advantage of lighter lines the first few hours, and then take a break as the park filled up.  I'd then return in the late afternoon to soak up the atmosphere and watch the parade and/or fireworks (avoiding any attractions with long lines).

    Hope that helps.
