I've read that if you tip your mousekeeper well daily you have a better chance of getting towel animals, is there any truth to this. If so I will need to budget for it for the kid's sake.

Hi David! I wish I could post photos here, because I received the cutest towel animals ever during my stay at the Grand Floridian a few weeks ago! Disney mousekeepers like to spread pixie dust, and you'll often find towel animals in your room. I generally do leave a tip each day for the mousekeeper because they work so hard (and my family is messy!), but I don't think receiving the towel animals is tied to the amount of the tip or whether your tip. If you are happy with the services your mousekeeper is providing, you can thank her with a tip. I usually leave $4 or $5 per day for my family of four, and the mousekeepers usually seem very grateful to receive that gratuity.

If you're not receiving towel animals during your stay at a Disney resort, you can always leave the mousekeeper a note telling her your kids would be super excited to see one when they came back to the room, and you may receive a little pixie dust.

I hope you receive lots of towel animals on your next vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
