I read somewhere that when using a quick service meal on the dining plan that children don't have to order from a kids menu. Is this true? Can they order whatever they want? Thanks! :)

Unfortunately you read some misinformation. Children (ages 3-9) on the Disney Dining Plan must order from the children's menu wherever one is available. There are a very few restaurants at WDW that do not have special kids' meals. At these restaurants, children may order from the regular menu. Otherwise they need to stick with the children's meals.
