    Hi! I read somewhere that the Very Merry Christmas party does not happen during the week of Thanksgiving. Is that true? If so, do you think it will happen the Sat before (11/18/17)? Do you know when party tickets will become available? Thank you!

    Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is one of my family's favorite Special Events to attend when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. My family visited over Thanksgiving week in 2013, 2015 and 2016.  When we have visited, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party was not offered the week of Thanksgiving. Historically, the last party before Thanksgiving has been held on the Friday prior to Thanksgiving Day. The special event was held on November 18, 2016 and then again on November 27, 2016. Based on the schedule over the last few years, I anticipate there will be a party held on November 17, 2017 rather than November 18, 2017. With that being said, dates for special events are always subject to change.  

    In 2016, dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party were announced in early April with tickets going on sale in early May. I recommend checking the Disney Parks Blog periodically in the coming weeks for announcements regarding the 2017 dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
