    I have read somewhere that there is another less busy entrance to Animal Kingdom (via the Rainforest Cafe shop). Is this correct?

    Yes. If you walk through the Animal Kingdom location of the Rainforest Cafe, there is a second, smaller entrance to the Animal Kingdom park. This entrance is not always open, but if it is, you can often save a few minutes by scooting in through this less-well-known entrance. You will still need to go through security and and a ticket turnstile, but the lines are often shorter here.
