I read somewhere that it is ESPN weekend at WDW the last weekend of Feb 09. What Is it?? Is it at one of the parks? Should we avoid WDW then?? Couldn't find any info on disney website. Thanks for all the helpful info!!

ESPN The Weekend will be held from February 27 to March 1, 2009. This is held at Disney's Hollywood Studios. During this weekend, sports stars and ESPN hosts will visit the park to participate in special events and interact with guests. I have not been able to find an announcement of participation in this year's festivities. However, if you go to the independent website wdwinfo.com and search for an article called "ESPN the Weekend", you'll find lists of 2008 celebrity guests and photos of the events. This will give you a good idea of what to expect. Similar information and photos from previous years can be found at allearsnet.com, also by searching for "ESPN the weekend."

If you're a sports fan, ESPN the weekend is a ball. If you're not, you may want to avoid DHS that weekend, as the park will be more crowded than normal. The rest of WDW will be largely unaffected by the ESPN event.
