I read somewhere that Boma offers a tour of the kitchen daily, and I can't find it anywhere on the Disney site. Do you have any information on it? My son(16) is an aspiring chef and I would love for him to see a professional kitchen.

Hi, Stacey!  This free (yes, I said free!!) tour takes place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  The tour begins at the podium at Boma at 4:00 PM, and gives you a behind the scenes peek (and taste!) of Boma and the wonderful signature restaurant at the lodge, Jiko.  The tour is pretty quick, and you won't get much interaction from the actual culinary staff, as they are well into preparation for the 4:30 dinner service to begin, but if your son if an aspiring chef, this might be just the tour for him.  You do get to see the hustle and bustle of prepping the restaurants for the busy dinner crowds, and you also get a sample of one of the amazing soups you find at Boma, along with a popular zebra dome.

The scheduled days may vary, so to confirm the tour for the evening, just call (407) 938-3000 on the day you want to go to make sure there is a tour scheduled.  There are no reservations taken for this tour.

    Have a great time!
