I've read that you can ship purchases home from WDW but how do you go about doing this? Do you have to bring your own box to ship in?Can you choose the shipping method...USPS vs. UPS?Or would I be better off just bringing an empty suitcase? U guys R GREAT!

    Amanda,

The last time I shipped a couple of boxes home it was easy, because I was staying at Coronado Springs. This convention hotel has a business center that can help. They had boxes and packing materials to buy, and were able to help with shipping (at a cost). This office could handle USPS, UPS, and FedEx.

Several Disney resorts have convention sites attached to them, where shipping is an easy task. Some include the Swan, Dolphin, Beach Club, Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary.

If you are at a resort without such an office, I think you would probably need the box and materials, and could ship from the desk and be billed the cost. For packing materials I use dirty clothes. They work great, and clear some space in your luggage for the return trip. For boxes, ask the front desk early in your trip if they have any. They might be able to get some for you, and I have found them to be extremely helpful and resourceful.

Since the addition of checked luggage charges by airlines, I think it  is more convenient and thrifty to ship a box home that check it.

    Have a magical vacation!
