Ahoy, Jenny!
Thank you for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for a second opinion. I remember trying to figure out everything I needed for my family's first cruise, and it is a lot of information to digest!
Jenny, when sailing to the Bahamas from a U.S. port with Disney Cruise Line, you will need an original or copy of a state-issued birth certificate for each member of your family and a Government-issued photo ID for any family members 16 and over. Disney Cruise Line strongly recommends a Valid U.S. Passport for all Guests. In the event of an emergency, while you are visiting the Bahamas, a passport is required to travel by air. Hopefully, this will not happen, but I always like to share this information since you are inquiring about
travel documentation for your upcoming sailing.
I also want to mention that vacationing with Disney Cruise Line in December is one of the most magical times to sail because the ship will be decked from stem to stern with dazzling holiday decor! There will be festive events planned for each day, and your favorite Disney Characters will be dressed in their adorable holiday attire. It's a WONDERful way to experience the SEAson!
Disney Castaway Cay will also be celebrating the holiday with whimsical touches around the island. If your
Very Merrytime Cruise is at the beginning of the month, I highly recommend taking your photo for your holiday card either on the ship or on the pier! My family did this a few yEARs ago, and it turned out beautifully.
Jenny, if you have any other questions about sailing with Disney Cruise Line, we'd love to hEAR from you again. We are always happy to help.
Have a DREAMy day!
Nancy
