I read in another post that with the memory maker, it automatically puts ride photos in your account without me having to stop at the counter to request it. I really just enjoy myself on the ride and the photos just appear? I am afraid of missing a photo!

    Hi Angela,

I have to admit that I was pretty skeptical when I heard about this too, but it really does work.

I purchased a MemoryMaker for my family this summer. After my first photo-capable ride, the Tower of Terror, I stopped at the post-ride photo desk as I had always done in the past. I told the cast member there that I had a Memory Maker and that I wanted to add the ride photo to my account. She assured me that since I was wearing my MagicBand and I had already linked the Memory Maker to my My Disney Experience, all my ride photos would be added automatically. There was no reason to stop at the desk for future rides.

When I got back to my laptop at the hotel in evening, I found that she was absolutely correct. My Tower of Terror photos were right there in the photo section of My Disney Experience, as promised. It was a little freaky and totally cool.

If you're concerned, there are ways to double check your photo status and make sure you get every magical shot.

    - When you get off a ride, make note of the photo number on the screen with your picture. Also make note of the approximate time. If there is a glitch and your photo does not hit your account, this will help PhotoPass staff retrieve it.

    - If you have a tablet or smartphone, you can log into the photo section of your My Disney Experience app and double check your photos while you're in the park. It may take an hour or two for the photos to be uploaded, but after that you should be able to see them automatically. If your pictures are not there, you can stop back at the attraction and ask them to load it manually. They can also often add photos at the photo offices at the front of the park (at the Magic Kingdom it's in the building with Tony's restaurant) if you have the photo number and approximate time.
