I read that there is a portrait artist available daily from 5-10pm at the Grand Floridian with cost starting around $45. What type of portraits are these? It doesn't say if they are charcoal, color, sketch. Any extra information would be appreciated!

    Hello Jennifer,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Thanks so much for sending us another great question today!

I've seen the portrait artists at Disney Resort hotels many times and have always thought those would make a wonderful family keepsake.  Unfortunately, the portrait artist sessions at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are no longer available.  I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  However, I do have a suggestion that might be a practically perfect alternative.  Disney Fine Art Photography & Video offers Family Portrait Sessions to celebrate almost any occasion.  They really do a beautiful job and capture the magic of the moment in way that only Disney can, whether it's a family vacation or a couple's wedding day.  If you look on their website under "Galleries" you can see some examples of their different sessions.

If you're looking for something less formal, the silhouette artists are fantastic and those make fun and affordable souvenirs.  I've seen these artists at Magic Kingdom on Main Street, U.S.A. and in Liberty Square and at Epcot in the France pavilion.

I hope that helps, Jennifer!  Wishing you pixie-dusted planning!

    Beth
