I read the playground is in middle of barefoot bay. U can't swim in water so how do u get there? If by boat is it free to get there, I would hope its easily accessible. Had knee surgery few months back, is this resort too spread out for me to enjoy? Thanx

    Hi Douglas!
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a fabulous resort to spend your Walt Disney World vacation!  With great themeing, wonderful caribbean feel and newly renovated pool area, there are plenty of relaxation options available for you!
I'm happy to report that you will not have to done your flippers and swim over to Barefoot Bay!  It is accessible via walkway from Old Port Royale and the Jamaica section of the resort.  As for walkability, CBR is one of the largest resorts on WDW property.  Due this, they have instituted their own internal transportation system in order for guests to access The Custom House and Old Port Royale with greater ease.  These buses stop at each village and run the route consistently throughout the day, so you will not have to traverse the entire resort.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
