Welcome aboard, Cheryl!
Meeting our favorite Disney friends is always a fun part of sailing with Disney for my family. Even now as tweens and teens, the kids still love getting a photo or two with Mickey, Minnie, or one of their other favorites. I don't think we'll ever outgrow that!
You're correct that it used to be available for guests to drop off a couple of items at
Guest Services to be signed by the Disney characters and returned by the end of the cruise. However, a few years ago that practice stopped and guests are now encouraged to bring their items directly to the
Character Greetings to be signed in person while meeting their favorite friends. It's way more fun this way because your family will get to interact with the characters while they sign your autograph books, picture frame mats, pillowcases or other signable items. Plus, you can take photos with the characters that you can pop into the autograph books which makes for a lot of fun later when browsing back through the books. My kids love to look back on our autograph books and the pictures in them to relive their
Disney Cruise Line memories.
There are Character Greetings all day and night throughout the ship, so you'll have ample opportunities to get items signed and meet all sorts of Disney friends. Be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App before you arrive at port. Then, once there, you'll be able to access the schedules for
activities, Character Greetings,
dining menus, ship maps, and even a fun onboard texting feature. It's a valuable tool you'll certainly want to use throughout the sailing, Cheryl!
Have so much fun planning this exciting adventure at sea, and please stop back again with more questions before you voyage off with Captain Mickey and his crew. We're happy to help!
