I've just read an older article(2009) about Rafiki's Planet Watch, which said that the veterinarians do animal check ups between 10 and 11:30 am. Is this still true? Can we find out ahead of time what animal is on the schedule the day we're visiting? Thx!

    Hi John,

The hours of the procedures at the veterinary clinic at Rakifi's Planet Watch can vary depending on what type of care the animals need on any given day, so it's difficult to predict in advance what might be available during your visit. However, you are absolutely welcome to call ahead to find out what's going on during your visit.

You can stop by the concierge desk at your Disney resort the day before you're heading to the Animal Kingdom. They may be able to call over to the AK and inquire about animal procedures and timing. You can also stop by the Guest Relations office at the front of the Animal Kingdom park and ask them to call the Planet Watch for you. They will certainly be able to confirm hours and possibly tell you what types of animals you might see getting care.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
