I’ve read that for the Military Salute tickets the member must be present and use a ticket for the first visit. Do I still have to purchase one if I’m a pass holder? Or am I able to purchase the salute ticket as a gift and enter with my pass?

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Fernanda. We're so glad you stopped by to share this question with us.

First and foremost, thank you for your service. I'm so glad to hear that you are able to take advantage of the specially-priced theme park tickets for eligible US military members. You are correct that you will need to be present with your valid military identification to activate and use these special tickets. I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who shared that you can absolutely use your Magic Key pass to enter the theme park.

Now that we have that resolved, it's time to start thinking about all the fun that you'll be having at the Disneyland Resort. Not too long from now, the resort will be fully transformed and ready for you to celebrate the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. I was there just a few days ago and saw all of the preparations being made with snow topping Sleeping Beauty Castle and festive decor around both parks. I can't wait for the festivities to officially start later this week on November 10th.

One of my favorite things to do during any Disney visit is to eat. The Foodie Guide to the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort and the Foodie Guide to Disney Festival of Holidays were both just released on the Disney Parks Blog. My favorite Mickey-shaped Candy Cane Beignets are back along with the Mickey gingerbread cookie. It's become a tradition to get one of these every holiday season and I always make sure to take at least one home with me too.

Fernanda, I hope this has been helpful as you get ready for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. We hope you will visit us again if you have any other questions. Here's wishing you a magical (and delicious) visit!
