Hi! I read that a lot of table service reservations require a credit card. The only card my family has is a debit card. Will we be able to use a debit card to make our reservations? Any other tips on how to book without a credit card?

    Hey Jennifer!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Thank you for bringing us your question.

I am also exclusively a debit card user. I have used my debit card for everything from purchasing park tickets to securing Advanced Dining Reservations to pre-paying for events such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party. I even attached it to my Magic Band on my last trip to Walt Disney World in December.

The only problem I had when trying to use my debit card was when I was trying to book a Disney Cruise and wanted to pay in full. The problem was on my side, not Disney's. The daily limit on my debit card set by my bank was exceeded when trying to purchase the cruise. All it took was a simple call to my bank to lift the max for one day then return it the next day.

You shouldn't have any problem at all using your debit card. However, make sure and contact your bank so you know what your daily limit is.

If you have any other questions please come back and see me!

    Have a magical day!
