I read that most of the little girls that go to visit go dressed up in Princess. Is that correct? I don't want my daughter to feel left out. Thanks!

    Hello, Maria!

Your little princess must be getting so excited about her first visit to Walt Disney World! You will certainly see many little girls dressed up in princess costumes as you explore the theme parks, but there are also a lot of girls that dress in regular attire. My daughter has worn a princess dress to the theme parks a few times over the years, but she prefers to save the fancy dresses for special occasions and dress comfortably in lightweight, breathable fabrics for our long days at the theme parks.

We usually have a princess dress available for special occasions, like an appointment at Disney's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or visiting with our favorite Disney Princess pals at one of the fantastic character dining locations -- like Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall or Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare. These special dining occasions are the perfect opportunity to get all dolled up and enjoy a meal with favorite royal Disney guests, and you will encounter a higher percentage of girls in princess dresses at each of these locations.

If you feel like your daughter may feel left out, you are welcome to bring along a princess dress that you've purchased from a store or created at home. We've seen some really creative homemade dresses and princess-themed outfits on our visits to the Walt Disney World Resort. Whatever you choose, I'm sure your princess will enjoy a magical Walt Disney World vacation, Maria! If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. Wave 'hi' to Cinderella for me!
