I have another ? I read that to go down the slide at Stormalong Bay the child has to be able to swim w/o a lifejacket. Anyone know if this is true? My 5 & almost 3yr olds are seasoned watersliders, but not perfect swimmers. They will be sad-help!

    Amy,

I'm not sure where you read that but don't fret - it is not the case.  My daughters have gone on waterslides at all the Disney resorts and they always wear lifejackets.  They are an important safety measure!

Your children will however have to be able to go down the slide alone.  You are not allowed to slide with them and hold them on the way down.  We usually split up, and one parent takes the kids to the top of the slide, while the other waits in the pool near the slide exit.  My girls do not like to be dumped off into the pool without a familiar face nearby.  :)  This is permitted as long as the adult is not directly at the end of the slide, so there won't be any unsafe collisions.

So fear not - you little ones will be able to slide to their hearts content!
