From what I've read you can use a giftcard on the disney cruise like by adding it to yours room key account. My question is ... if I add a $500 gift card to my room key/ ship card, but only spend $300 will they give me a gift card back for my balance?

    Ahoy, Jennifer!

Your cruise countdown in less than 10 days! I know you are ready to be in full vacation mode on your cruise vacation with Captain Mickey!

It sounds like you have done your homework regarding the use of Disney Gift Cards onboard. I always like to purchase them when we have a cruise planned because it's a great way to budget for our expenses ahead of time. There are two ways to use them on the ship-turning them in at Guest Services to be applied to your stateroom account or directly in the shops onboard. If you add a gift card to your account at Guest Services, you will want to keep the card just in case you don't spend the full amount. They can apply the unused portion back to the original card either the final night or the morning of your departure. We always put the card or cards in our stateroom safe so we don't misplace them if we need them again.

Jennifer, I hope you have the most magical time on your high seas adventure next week. Be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line packing list before you set sail. It will be a wonderful resource in the coming days as you start to gather everything you need for some fun in the sun with your favorite Disney Pals!

    Bon Voyage!
