Just read on "All Ears Readers Tips" web site that the purchase of the dinner/show package no longer offers peferential seating/early entry for the Fantasmic Show? We purchased the package for this very reason....can you clarify if this is true?

Let me first say that I think that the allears.net site is fantastic, and provides lots and lots of very useful information.  Many of us on the panel use it frequently as a helpful resource.

I also, however, feel that their "ALL EARS HEARS" section of their newsletter (which is where that info was posted) "has room for improvement" (I'm trying to be diplomatic!).  Some of their newsletters include the disclaimer "items we run in ALL EARS HEARS are from emails we receive from our readers, and are not necessarily confirmed announcements from the Walt Disney Company..."  This specific week's issue failed to include that disclaimer.

Personally, I don't think they are helping WDW planners by sharing unconfirmed tips from individual readers, when individual experiences can vary greatly. But that's just my opinion.

Anyway, I have not read about a change with the Fantasmic! Dinner Package (FDP) process anywhere else on the internet (other than lots of questions about this specific newsletter), and I have asked several cast members and they all confirm that the FDP proceedure hasn't changed.  You can still enter through the entrance by Oscars, no later than 30 minutes before the show, to get access to the FDP reserved seating. Is it possible that this reader is correct, and the CMs I spoke with are wrong? Sure, it's possible, but I think it is more likely that the process hasn't changed permanently.

I suspect the allears reader either arrived late, or happened to be at the Hollywood Studios when some special event didn't allow them to use the Oscars entrance. But, I could be wrong.

Lastly, even if the Oscars entrance were no longer available as an option, you would still have access to the reserved seating area with the FDP, which is the most valuable part of this "perk".

    Hope that helps. ºoº
