I read that DVD players are among the prohibited items allowed on the ship. As we're flying to Orlando, I planned to bring our portable DVD players so the kids can watch a movie or two on our flight(s). I can't do this?

    Ahoy Laura!
It's almost time for your voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line to begin! It sounds like you are doing your homework by reviewing over the prohibited items not allowed on the ship. Rest assured, portable DVD players are allowed. We purchased a couple for our last cruise and used them both on the plane and while waiting at the cruise terminal without any problems. The DVD players prohibited are the ones that need to be connected to the stateroom TV.  You most likely won't need your portable ones onboard because there is a great selection of shows and movies for all ages available 24 hours a day. We like to watch a show as a family while we enjoy our Big Island Cookies and Mickey Bars from room service at the end of each day! It's one of my crew's favorite Disney Cruise Line traditions!
I hope you have the most magical time on your cruise next week, Laura! If think of any other last minute questions, please let us know!
    Bon Voyage!
