Welcome back to planDisney, Jennifer and Mike! We appreciate you sending us another great question!
As a
Magic Key holder, I'm sure you were relieved when the news was released last week about renewals! The announcement also included that the program will have several changes as it enters its second year. First of all, Disneyland will no longer offer the Dream Key, as it will be replaced by the Inspire Key. Second, all Magic Key levels now have varying
blockout dates, depending on the level pass you select.
Unfortunately, guests cannot apply the value of a
Disneyland theme park ticket to the cost of their Magic Key renewal. However, I do have a couple of suggestions for you. One thought is to gift your tickets to a friend or family member. Give
Disneyland Ticket Services a call at (714) 781-4636, and they can change the names on the tickets so they can be linked to another Disneyland account. Another idea is to save them for another time; one-day tickets purchased this year are valid now through December 30, 2023. The Inspire Key is blocked out from December 21, 2022, through January 1, 2023, so if you'd like to visit during the holidays, this would be a great time to use those Park Hoppers!
By the way, theme park reservations cannot be modified but can be canceled by visiting
My Theme Park Reservations. If you'd like to cancel an existing reservation and book a new one, check on the availability of reservations for your new desired date and/or park. Theme park reservations can be made up to 120 days or more in advance, subject to availability.
I hope this helps, Jennifer and Mike! We hope to see ya again real soon!
