I read that the characters will sign just about anything. My mom is a quilter and said she would give me fabric to have them sign. She would then make a quilt for our son. Can the characters sign the fabric?

Yes, absolutely. The characters will sign fabric squares. This is a great idea -- a perfect way to make a truly personal Disney souvenir! Your son is lucky fellow to have such a thoughtful grandma.

The main thing you want to think about when doing something like this is making it easy for the character to sign the fabric. You need to provide a firm backing for the character to press against. And you need to provide a pen that is both large enough to hold and able to meet the needs of the quilter (say, a washable fabric pen).

For the backing, I've heard of some guests who will attach fabric to a piece of stiff cardboard with either rubber bands or binder clips. I have also heard of guests using an embroidery hoop to hold fabric taut enough for the characters to sign.

Good luck and have a wonderful vacation.
