I have read in some books that during peak times, parks may close to general public allowing only guests from Disney resorts in the park. Has this really happened? If so, should we be concerned about travelling to Disney over spring break?

Hi, Amanda! Yes, this really does happen when the parks reach capacity.  I never experienced this at any time except the week between Christmas and New Year's.  I'm not saying that it can't or doesn't happen at other times, but you are not as likely to encounter this problem during a spring break trip.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
