I have read advise you should bring a cup/bottle from home to fill up on the ship as the cups on board are small; is it worth the hassle of carrying it around all day and making sure that your young children don't lay it down somewhere and lose it?

Welcome back, Karen! Is it almost time to be setting sail on your magical Disney Cruise Line vacation? I remember that you're extending your trip to enjoy even more fun in the Florida sun after your cruise too! You've got quite the vacation planned!

Yes, many guests will bring their own reusable travel mugs, or purchase new Disney Cruise Line-themed Tervis Tumblers onboard in the gift shops to use while onboard. My family and I used to do that, but we aren't huge soft drink drinkers, so now we leave them at home and just use the paper cups with lids provided at the 24-hour beverage station on the pool deck. It's really up to you. If your family drinks a lot of soft drinks and you think you'd like a larger cup, bring it along! The cups at the beverage station are what you'd get if you order a small at a fast food restaurant, just so you have an idea of size. That's plenty for us. We even grab a cup there sometimes before one of the nightly Broadway style shows, take the cup to Eye Scream Treats on the other side of the pool deck and fill it halfway with vanilla soft serve. Then, we head back to the beverage station and top it off with Coke. Ta-da! A Coke float! My kids think that's a great treat to take to the shows!

Have fun counting down the last days until you set sail, Karen. As always, please feel free to stop back with any other questions before you head out to sea with Captain Mickey and his crew! We're happy to help!
