I read your advice about the guide books to buy, I see they are listed by year, I am planning a trip for the end of Feb 2009, will a guide book from 2008 still be beneficial to me? Or do i wait for the 2009 edition?

You should be fine with a 2008 guide book. Of course some information, notably pricing, may be slightly different. And Disney does add and subtract a few attractions each year. But I would say that probably 90% of a 2008 book will be accurate for 2009, and the rest you could supplement with information from the internet.

The new editions of the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World and the Birnbaum Guide to Disney World come out in late summer or early fall each year.
