Hi there, Whitney--welcome to planDisney! Thanks for visiting with your vacation planning question. I do love to talk about all things Disney Princess, so I'm delighted to help with some royal advice for your upcoming adventures at
Walt Disney World Resort!
It sounds like you have a reservation for the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique during your upcoming vacation--your daughter is going to love it! At the Boutique, Princesses and Knights get to enjoy a royal makeover from some wonderful Fairy Godmothers-in-training. We were able to take both of our daughters when they were younger, and of all the experiences we've had at Walt Disney World, we agree that the BBB (as the cool kids call it) is one of the most special!
There is always a good selection of dresses and gowns from sizes 3-13 at the Boutique, and this may include any of the Disney Princesses or other beloved characters who may not identify as a princess--including Raya and Mirabel, among others. However, availability is subject to change, and you can't reserve a dress in advance. This can be a problem if your child has their heart set on dressing as a particular character, but never fear--I have a couple of suggestions for you!
When we brought my oldest daughter for the first time,
Tangled had just been released and she simply HAD to be Rapunzel when we visited the Boutique. I was afraid the costumes would be sold out at Walt Disney World, so we purchased a dress from our local Disney Store and packed that for her visit. There were no Rapunzel dresses to be had when we arrived, so I was glad we planned ahead! I've also purchased princess-inspired casual dresses from Etsy when we've visited in warmer months--our girls loved them and they were still able to feel like princesses while being a bit more comfortable (also-pockets!).
Whitney, I did take a peek at
DisneyStore.com and am happy to report that there are many great costumes available there! Your child can dress as Ahsoka Tano, one of the three amazing Madrigal sisters from
Encanto, or Jessie of
Toy Story fame, in addition to many princesses, Minnie Mouse, and Tinker Bell. I hope she finds something that she absolutely loves!
After your daughter's royal makeover, be sure to stop by
Princess Fairytale Hall for a special greeting and a precious photo op with Tiana, Cinderella, and some other princess pals. I cherish the pictures I have from those moments and I am sure you will, too.
I hope you have safe travels to Walt Disney World and a practically perfect, princess-tastic vacation. Please visit us again at planDisney any time if we can help with any other questions to make your trip a little more magical!
Wishing you the Best Day Ever,
Susan
