Welcome to
planDisney, Claudia! We love helping Guests like you make the most of their Disney vacations, and I am so glad that you decided to stop by with your questions. I will do my very best to provide you with answers so that you can get excited about your upcoming visit to
Disneyland Resort.
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park have reopened with significantly limited capacity to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing. At this time, there have not been any official announcements about potential increases to park capacity, though we may see the capacity raised in accordance with the guidance from health authorities. I highly recommend following the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disneyland Resort Updates page for the latest, most up-to-date information. As always, the procedures currently in place may change as Disneyland Resort continues to update health and safety processes based on guidance from the state of California and local health officials.
All Guests are required to obtain a
theme park reservation through the new theme park reservation system in advance. At this time, only California residents may visit the parks, and proof of residency may be required. Out-of-state visitors may begin purchasing theme park tickets and making theme park reservations to visit the parks on or after June 15, 2021.
Theme park reservations cannot be modified, but they can be canceled by visiting My Theme Park Reservations in your Disney account. All
theme park tickets purchased are nonrefundable and nontransferable, but you do have the option to change your visit to a later date when you feel more comfortable visiting the theme parks.
I hope this information helps you to plan for your visit to
The Happiest Place on Earth! Remember, you’ve got a friend in us here at
planDisney, so stop back by any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
