Welcome back to planDisney, Clare!
I’m so excited to hear about your plans to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth this summer. What a perfect way to celebrate your daughter’s milestone 21st birthday! Don’t forget to stop by any Guest Relations or Front Desk location to pick up a complimentary “Happy Birthday” button for your daughter to wear. It’s sure to add some extra pixie dust to her day with well-wishes from Cast Members and fellow Guests alike.
Now, onto the sweet stuff! In years past, the Chocolate Glass Slipper Dessert was a popular specialty item at Walt Disney World, featuring designs in dark, milk, or white chocolate. While this delightful treat has danced off the menu, Disney now offers
Mickey Mouse celebration cakes at many table-service restaurants. While adorable, they may not be the unique dessert experience you’re looking for. But don’t worry as there are plenty of alternatives!
For a touch of elegance, I recommend reaching out to the
Magical Floral & Gifts team. They offer a variety of options to surprise your daughter, from champagne to delectable treats. Though items are no longer left in guest rooms, they can deliver directly to you while you’re at your resort or have your gift waiting at the front desk for pickup.
For a truly enchanting dining experience, consider
The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk. This dreamy destination feels like stepping into a fairytale, with sparkling chandeliers, gilded mirrors, and a menu that has a touch of whimsy. While their cake slices are famous (and enormous!), they also craft custom desserts, so you can inquire about a special creation for your daughter’s big day. And for a nod to her British roots, why not treat her to an Afternoon Tea there? Add a glass of bubbly rosé champagne, and you’ll be channeling a very merry unbirthday (or in this case, a birthday) worthy of Alice herself! For more information or to make a reservation, you can reach their team directly at 0800 028 0778 (UK) or via email at concierge@thecakebakeshop.com.
Finally, for a celebration that goes beyond dessert, consider
chartering a private boat to watch one of the nighttime spectaculars, like Happily Ever After or Luminous: The Symphony of Us. These cruises are private and magical and are an unforgettable way to end the day. You can even request birthday banners for a festive touch. While booking Enchanting Extras can sometimes be tricky for UK guests, my friends
Matt and
Emma over at planDisney specialize in international tips and would love to help if you have any questions.
I hope your daughter’s birthday is as magical as the White Rabbit’s tea party. Just don’t be late for any of your celebrations! If you have any other questions, Clare, I’d be delighted to help.
Wishing you a practically perfect holiday,
Eean
