    How quickly does registration on 10k's sell out? A friend and I want to run the Disney World Marathon January 2018, and registration is next month. Just wondering how quickly I need to budget for registration costs. Thanks!

    Hi Rebecca!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm eagerly awaiting the approach of registration for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend too!

    It's hard to say exactly how quickly the Walt Disney World 10K will sell out. I've seen them in the past sell out in under an hour and other times a week or two. In my experience though, the 10K distance tends to be the quickest to sell out because it has limited spots compared to the half marathon and full marathon distance. Registration is currently set to open on February 14, 2017 at noon EST. I always tell runners that have their heart set, to try and register as soon as it's on sale to guarantee their spot. 

    In addition to that the Walt Disney World Marathon will be celebrating 2 anniversaries in 2018 with the 5th Anniversary of the Dopey Challenge and the 25th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Marathon, so I'm sure it's going to be very popular! In case it does sell out before you are able to register, I'd recommend checking with some of the runDisney Charity Groups. They will have additional bibs available and you'll be able to support a wonderful cause.
