Quickest way to get to Epcot from Ft Wilderness Campground for early entry

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Susan!

Seasons Greetings, and welcome to planDisney! The holiday season is here, and I am delighted to hear you will be at Walt Disney World Resort, which (in my opinion!) is the merriest time of year to visit! There are two ways to get to EPCOT from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds that will work for Early Theme Park Entry. The quickest way would be to reserve a Minnie Van using the Lyft app, but keep in mind that it's an extra fee and not included with your resort stay. Minnie Vans have a drop-off location at each park, and like the Disney buses, they are the closest to the entrance at EPCOT. The next option would be taking a resort bus. Buses generally begin picking up guests 45 minutes before the parks open. With Fort Wilderness, depending on where you will be staying, travel time may take longer due to the internal bus pickups within the resort. You can also take a Water Taxi to the Magic Kingdom, then head to the Monorail and hop on the EPCOT line in the Transportation and Ticket Center. If you are adamant about being there early with peace of mind, I recommend the Minnie Van or even a regular Lyft.

EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays begins on November 29th, and oh, what fun it will be! There are so many fun activities to enjoy during this festival, and here are my top 3 to make your visit extra magical:

    • Holiday Cookie Stroll: The holidays are all about the sweets! Purchase five cookies and collect stamps in your Festival Passport from participating Holiday Kitchens. Visit Holiday Sweets & Treats once you have completed the Stroll, and receive a special treat as a reward!
    • EPCOT Candlelight Processional: Enjoy the retelling of the story of Christmas, complete with a choir, orchestra, and celebrity narrator, which happens to be Nico Santos on your arrival date. Chrissy Metz will be a few days later!
    • Olaf's Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt: This is the perfect family activity! Purchase a map from the Creations Shop, head to World Showcase, and enjoy finding Olaf in each Pavilion.

Susan, I hope you and your family have the most holly jolly visit to Walt Disney World! Thank you for visiting planDisney!

    Happy Holidays!
