Oh boy! It looks like you have an exciting trip coming up soon, Linda!
Walt Disney World Resort is twice the size of Manhattan, and there are a myriad of transportation options to choose from, including the highly anticipated
Skyliner (set to open right after your trip). Sometimes, the quickest transportation, however, is no transportation at all! In my experience, the fastest way to get from
Disney's Hollywood Studios to
Epcot is by walking along the 1.3-mile waterside path that connects both theme parks. It's about a 25-minute walk at a leisurely pace once you arrive at the International Gateway. Make sure to stay on the path to the right near the BoardWalk for the shorter route.
An even more relaxing mode of transportation would be to take the
Friendship Boats located just outside the exits of the Parks (at Epcot, the dock is next to the Internation Gateway). The cruise along Cresent Lake takes about 20-30 minutes depending on how long you have to wait for it to arrive. The boat makes several stops at Walt Disney World Resorts, including the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels.
The buses are not quite as scenic, but they are a convenient choice if you need to get to the Future World section of Epcot by
Spaceship Earth. The amount of travel time on the bus is about 20 minutes, but you also have to factor in the time you'll spend waiting at the bus stop, which depending on the time of day can be up to 20 minutes.
Have a great time touring the Parks this fall, and don't forget to check out the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival while you're there, Linda!
