Greetings, fellow Floridian David!
Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Don’t you love
living close to The Mouse? We are about an hour and a half away by car, and love that we can pop up to Walt Disney World Resort whenever the pixie dust strikes! We are also Annual Passholders, and one of
our favorite perks is the complimentary Theme Park parking!
Since all Annual Passes come with
complimentary parking, you are
more than welcome to park at any of the Theme Parks during your blackout dates! Since you are planning on visiting the gingerbread displays (which are magnificent, and my favorite part of the holidays at the Resorts!), I would park in the Ticket and Transportation Center and then take the monorail to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort to see
the gorgeous life-sized house! Disney’s Contemporary Resort is celebrating its 10th anniversary of gingerbread displays with a Mary Blair-style Cinderella Castle, and it is stunning! It is over 15 feet tall and composed of over 600 pounds of sugar!
Once you are done with
the monorail Resort displays, head to
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for the cutest cabin this side of the Mississippi! Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts are also not to be missed! We had the pleasure of staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort two yEARs ago while they were constructing the gingerbread carousel. It is a fantastic feat of engineering as well as a delight for the eyes!
David, I hope you enjoy
gingerbread hopping! Feel free to return with any more questions; we are all EARs!
