Hi Rachel!
Welcome to planDisney.
While the
Disney dining plans do offer great flexibility and convenience, one thing that is not permitted is swapping one type of meal for another category (in this case, a Quick-Service Meal cannot be exchanged or used as part-payment towards a Table-Service Meal). There are so many fabulous Table-Service restaurants at Walt Disney World (two of my favourites are
Narcoossee's and
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White) so you might want to upgrade your Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan to a
Disney Dining Plan so you can enjoy more of these! You will need to do this before you travel - please speak with your travel agent if you wish to change your dining plan.
However, you can use all your meals and snacks in the way that suits you best - maybe use fewer on one day and more on another, and you can continue to use them up until midnight on the day you check out. Many of us spend a few more hours at Walt Disney World after we have checked out of our room (especially for us UK guests with our late overnight flights home), so it may be worth saving a few snacks, but ensure you use them all up because they will expire at midnight!
You can check your dining plan balance at any time on your My Disney Experience app. Also, your meal balance will show on any dining receipt. If you would prefer a paper copy of your dining plan details - what you have used, and what you still have remaining - visit the Front Desk of your Disney Resort hotel and they will print a copy for you.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can
send me a direct question about dining at Walt Disney World, or any other planning questions if you wish. We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday!
Sue
