Hey, Lacey! Thank you so much for stopping by the
Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are just as excited as you are about your upcoming trip to
Walt Disney World!
I will never tire of saying that my family loves the convenience and flexibility that
a dining plan provides. Now, guests are able to track their used and unused meal credits on the
My Disney Experience app and also
order food ahead of time from their mobile device and pay with their dining plan credits.
I am afraid it is not possible to combine two quick-service credits to pay for a meal at a
table-service location. The dining plan of your choice is added to all members of your party under your room reservation. If the couple you will be traveling with will be staying in a different room, they can choose not to add a dining plan to
their room reservation. However, if you all happen to be under the same reservation, then you will have to decide whether you will all want to have it or not.
My favorite dining plan is the
Disney Dining Plan as it gives you one table service credit per night of stay, which we normally use on a
character meal. Also, you could use two meal credits on a
signature dining experience such as
Yachtsman Steakhouse in Disney's Yacht Club Resort. My dad and I ate at this restaurant a while ago and we loved it! The exquisite food, the calm atmosphere, the service, everything was simply out of this world! It was such an indulgence!
Lacey, I know you will love adding a dining plan to your reservation! Maybe you can go back to your friends and tell them about the benefits of adding a dining plan (a refillable mug included with it, the ability to pay with just the tap of your
MagicBand, tracking down your meals on the My Disney Experience app, and so much more). Please do not hesitate to stop by again as many times as you need to! We love to help!
