Hi Traci!
I too am an unsweetened beverage drinker! We all have our reasons of course, but I prefer not to waste calories on beverages. My mom is diabetic and so the two of us are always on the lookout for low-sugar options other than water. You’ll be happy to know there are a variety of sugar-free and low-sugar options available at the Walt Disney World Resort.
With the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, you will receive a refillable mug to use for unlimited beverage refills at your resort hotel. Hot coffee and tea should be available at all resorts along with a variety of artificial sweeteners if needed. Many resorts offer a Gold Peak Iced Tea dispenser, which usually includes an unsweetened tea option. Avoid the green and citrus options though as they do have added sugar. At soft drink dispensers you should always find Diet Coke, as well as a Minute Maid Light Lemonade. Select resorts and restaurants offer Sprite Zero, Coke Zero and my personal favorite, Minute Made Light Pomegranate Lemonade. So yummy and refreshing! At a few locations, you may even find a
Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine. If you haven’t used one before, it allows you to mix different flavors and beverages to create your customized beverage of choice. Pro Tip - Try Sprite Zero with one of the sugar-free fruit flavorings, my favorite is always peach!
In the parks you’ll find similar soft drink options available at quick-service dining locations, so you’ll have no problem continuing your good habits at mealtime. If you are a fan of
Starbucks, you’ll find a location at each theme park, and you can use Disney Dining Plan Snack Credits! How about a grande iced coffee with some sugar-free vanilla? Or stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. with an iced herbal tea. Sounds like a recipe for a perfect Disney Day.
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel, Traci! Please let us know if you have any additional questions before your visit, we’re here to help!
