Hey there, Lisa! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You've picked the most magical time of year to plan a trip to Walt Disney World Resort! The theme parks and resorts will turn up the yuletide magic with holiday decorations, and there will be yummy and festive holiday treats galore.
Speaking of food, Quick Service restaurants are often my favorite places to eat at Walt Disney World Resort, especially at busy times of the year. You don't have to worry about scheduling your day around your dining reservations, and with
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, you don't even have to wait in line!
My family's favorite Quick Service location in the Parks is
Satu'li Canteen in Animal Kingdom Theme Park. It is located at the exit of Flight of Passage (right next to the merchandise shop), and there is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a comfortable place to eat. I don't know what the Na' vi eat on Pandora, but the food here is healthy and delicious. I like to order the Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl with a base of rice and beans, and the black bean vinaigrette. Make sure to save room for the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse. It may look strange, but the taste is out-of-this-world!
At Disney's Hollywood Studios, make a beeline for
Woody's Lunch Box in
Toy Story Land. This place is uber-popular, so plan to eat early or at off times to get a seat. I enjoy dipping the Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich in a cup of Tomato-basil Soup, with a perfect view of Slinky Dog Dash in the background. I've also sampled the "Totchos" a few times which are potato barrels smothered in a chili cheese concoction. This is comfort food at it's finest!
When I get a craving for Mexican food while at Magic Kingdom Park, I head over to the wild west of Frontierland. The grub at
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is tasty, and the servings are large, so bring your appetite. The Fajita Platter is usually my "go-to" meal, but the Beef Nachos are a close second. Their famous self-serve Fixins Bar features an assortment of salsas, as well as peppers, onions, and cheese.
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café in Tomorrowland has a 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken during dinner hours that almost tastes homemade. It's easily shareable and a great value on the dining plan- then you save room and money for a Dole Whip for dessert!
Have a great time, Lisa, and if you need any more help, remember we're all EARS!
