Hi Danielle!
Welcome to planDisney.
It's always a pleasure to assist my fellow guests from the UK, and I'm happy to see that you may be taking advantage of the
Free Dining & Drinks offer for holidays in 2025! It's too good to miss!
In my experience, you can use the Disney dining plans to pay for most menu items at each restaurant. It is always down to the discretion of the individual restaurants, so it's worth checking before you place your order, but I think you'll find that nearly everything is included. The main restriction is that you are not permitted to use the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan at Table-Service restaurants.
There are a few specific non-meal items that are not included in any Disney dining plan - which include:
- Items that are more than a single serving (such as a box of doughnuts or a jar of peanut butter).
- Items (such as popcorn or drinks) that are served in a souvenir container.
- Items considered to be merchandise (such as bottle toppers, glow cubes and bottle straps).
You can use your dining plan in any way you please - maybe using fewer meals one day and more on another, it's entirely up to you! - and it is valid from your day of check-in to midnight on the day you leave. Our last day is usually lengthy, with our late overnight flights back to the UK, so save a few meals and snacks to use then, but ensure you use them all up as they expire.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can
send me a direct question if you wish. We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World!
Sue
