Hi Todd! Thank you for bringing your question about Dining Plans to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
It is great that you are already thinking about planning your meals for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Disney Dining Plans provide a convenient way to pre-pay for meals and snacks during your vacation. Guests using the standard
Disney Dining Plan are entitled to 1 Table-Service and 1 Quick-Service meal and 2 Snacks per person per day. Guests using the
Quick-Service Dining Plan receive 2 Quick-Service Meals and 2 Snacks per person per day. It is not possible to combine credits from one category to use on a different category. You may, however, choose to use a Table-Service credit at a Quick-Service location. I don't recommend that option as a Table-Service credit generally holds more value than a Quick-Service credit, and no additional credit is given for the swap. It is also possible at some locations to use a Quick-Service credit to purchase 3 Snacks, or to "build your own" meal using Snack credits on various items. Feel free to ask a Cast Member at dining locations if you are unsure how to apply your credits.
If you find yourself wishing to dine at more Table-Service locations than you have credits for, you might consider upgrading to the
Deluxe Dining Plan. This plan allows 3 meals and 2 snacks per person per day. The meal credits may be used on any combination of Quick-Service or Table-Service meals. You may also pay out of pocket for any meals your Dining Plan doesn't cover.
I hope that helps. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
