I have 2 questions: Is there going to be religious services in Disney World this year? If so, where? Are there going to be any New Years Eve celebrations (parties), other than the normal celebrations at Magic Kingdom, etc.?

Hiya, Jeanne! A very merry welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of year! With so many holiday favorites returning to Walt Disney World Resort this year, you're sure to make memories that will last a lifetime. I'd love to help you put the finishing touches on your magical plans!

Jeanne, typically religious services are held in the Fantasia Ballroom in Disney's Contemporary Resort on Christmas Day. In previous years, a Catholic Mass has taken place at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM, and a Protestant service at around 9:15 AM. You're welcome to speak to a Cast Member when you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel to hear more specific information about this service, and they'll be happy to help you with your next steps! However, you may also find that you prefer to use a ride-share service to attend one of the churches in nearby Celebration, Kissimmee, Winter Garden, or Orlando. There are many options nearby and I'm sure you'll find one that's just right for you!

Walt Disney World Resort will be a great place to ring in the new year! In previous years, there have been New Year's Eve celebrations at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT and I would expect it to be the same this year, as well. To my knowledge, Disney's Hollywood Studios will also be open until midnight! With that being said, we don't know the specifics of what we can expect for New Year's celebrations across Walt Disney World Resort quite yet. I'd recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, which always seems to announce these exciting updates first!

Be sure that you've made your theme park reservations with the Disney Park Pass system, too! This is an important step to reserve the parks you'd like to visit on each day of your trip. And take a little time to download and explore the My Disney Experience app before you arrive! You'll be able to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and even mobile order food. I love knowing my meals and snacks will be ready before I ever feel a rumbly in my tumbly!

I'm sending you all the faith, trust, and pixie dust that you have an extra special trip, Jeanne! If you have any other questions, please write to us again.

    Wishing you the very merriest,
    Michele
