So many questions! If I'm on the Dining Plan and miss a dinner reservation will I be charged a cancellation fee? or will they deduct the meal from my credits if I don't show? or is there no impact to skipping a reservation? Thanks!

    Hi, Sarah!

Thanks for visiting us again here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's great that you have a bunch of questions - it means you've been doing your research and are planning ahead for a magical vacation!

Whether or not you are using a Disney Dining Plan, certain Walt Disney World restaurants (in particular, Character and Signature dining locations) require a credit card guarantee at the time of reservation and have a 1-day cancellation policy. If you fail to cancel your reservation the day prior or are a no-show, your credit card will be charged a penalty fee per person (which is typically $10). However, you will not lose any of your Dining Plan meal entitlements.

If you've made a reservation at a restaurant that doesn't require a credit card guarantee and have a last-minute change of plans, as a courtesy to other guests, I recommend going to the "My Reservations" section of the My Disney Experience site, using the mobile app, or calling the Disney Dining cancellation line at 407-939-2625 to cancel. By doing so, the restaurant will be notified and the table that has been reserved for your party can then be made available to other diners.

Wishing you a magical vacation, Sarah! Enjoy the wonderful cuisine at Walt Disney World! Bon appétit!
